Adoption Application

Adoption Application

Welcome

Adopt your best friend today!

*Please note that we do NOT adopt out single cats to a home without any existing cats unless it is in the best interest of the cat and otherwise noted in their bio. Any applications stating that you want a single cat and do not already have a cat will not be considered. This is non-negotiable. *

*This section is constantly being updated. Please check back frequently! *

All of our adoptable cats and kittens may be found on this page. Periodically, we will update as they are adopted out or new fosters are available. Please understand that we are a volunteer run rescue, and we try to review all applications within 48-72 hours. Our adoption application may be found above.

Harley

Harley

Female, DLH Black & White Tuxedo, Approx DOB 6/3/2021, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Harley is a very sweet and loveable girl that loves to play, be held, receive pets and affection, and she loves watching birds over your shoulder, too! She does not get along well with new cats. For that reason, we are only adopting her out with her adult daughter, Marley. These girls were dumped in Detroit after Harley had a litter of three kittens. When we found her, she had an upper respiratory infection and mastitis. Unfortunately, we had to separate her from her babies so she could be treated for both infections, and we were never able to reunite her with her babies because she no longer recognized them. This is quite common.

Harley would do very well as an only cat, too! So, if you can only have one cat or would like only one cat, Harley is your girl. She is long haired, so she will need daily brushing and possibly some assistance with rear end hair care as long hair cats tend to get things stuck in their rear fur.

Marley

Harley

Female, DSH Black & White Tuxedo, Approx DOB 6/3/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

*New pic coming soon! *

Harley is a sweet and shy girl. She likes to be loved on her terms. She has the cutest little mustache, too! We are able to pet and pick her up, but she can be quite scared when it comes to loud sounds. She was abandoned with her mom, Harley, and Harley's last litter in Detroit. She will need an understanding and quiet home that allows her to warm up and blossom. She gets along well with Harley, and we prefer for them to stay together. She does okay with new cats, but usually she just avoids them. It would be best for Marley and Harley to be the only pets in the home. If Marley cannot be adopted with Harley, and Harley would be the only cat, we would consider that.

**Marley is shy and will need time to adjust and warm up. Please know this if you want to adopt her. It can take weeks (and sometimes months) for animals to feel safe and blossom in a new environment. **

Raven

Raven

Male, DSH Black, Approx DOB 10/2025, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP Vaccinated, FELV/FIV Negative.

Raven is a very spunky, playful, and rambunctiously sweet boy! He was found in one of our managed colonies after his mom and other cats were abandoned last Fall (2025). Raven first connected with Binx once he was removed from quarantine, and they are the best of friends. If another cat of similar age does not currently reside in the prospective adopter's home, we highly recommend that Raven be adopted with his best friend, Binx. (Please see Binx's bio.) Raven does have a brown hue to his fur, and he came to us with a suspected fever coat/or gray undercoat. It is still visible, but he may outgrow it in the future.

Argo

Raven

Male, DLH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 4/10/2024, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. *New pics pending. *

Argo is a shy and sweet boy. Like his brother, Achilles, he is a very floofy boy with beautiful long fur! Argo is bonded to his brother, Achilles, after coming from one of our colonies up north where their mom was dumped on a farm to fend for herself. Achilles is the more confident of the two boys, but both equally love to be loved on. Argo draws strength from his brother's outgoing personality, so if you're looking to earn Argo's trust, start with Achilles. Achilles and Argo must be adopted together as a bonded pair. Argo leans on Achilles and watches how he handles situations. These two brothers do get along fairly well with other cats, but Argo would likely do best in a home where it was just him and his brother.

Achilles

Male, DLH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 4/10/2024, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. *New pics pending. *

Achilles is a very floofy and sweet boy! Achilles is bonded to his brother, Argo, after coming from one of our colonies up north where their mom was dumped on a farm to fend for herself. Achilles is the more confident of the two boys, but both equally love to be loved on. Achilles will allow you to hold him, and he especially loves to look over your shoulder and be held like a baby. He's a big ball of floofy goodness! Achilles and Argo must be adopted together as a bonded pair. Argo leans on Achilles for his outgoing personality. These two brothers do get along fairly well with other cats, but Argo would likely do best in a home where it was just him and his brother.

Binx

Male, DSH Black with small white patch on chest, Approx DOB 6/28/2023, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. (On the right.)

Binx is one sweet love bug of a boy! He is a major snuggler, loves all sorts of love via pets, belly rubs, and snuggles. He begs for older adult cats to groom him, despite some absolutely refusing. He seeks the mom comforts of other cats, especially females, after having to be separated from his mom at a young age. Binx and Lukas are from the same litter and get along great. Binx tends to be more laid back and cuddly while Lukas is a wild man that loves to zoom around the house and play. He does have a very playful side, yet this boy sure does love to be loved on.

*Binx does have runny eyes occasionally and we believe it was due to exposure to the feline herpes virus at the clinic. It is well managed on a daily dose of L-Lysine mixed into his wet food. Feline Herpes virus is very prevalent in the feline population and very common. *

Maya

Mayra

Mayra

Female, DSH Dilute Torti, Approx DOB 11/5/2016, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Maya is a super sweet and playful girl. She has been looking for a good home for a while and would love a human of her own to cuddle with. She gets along well with other cats provided a proper introduction. She has been an amazing foster mom to many kittens in her time with our rescue.

**Maya's granddaughter, Mayra, would do best being kept with Maya. **

Mayra

Mayra

Mayra

Female, DSH Dilute Torti, Approx DOB 4/15/2021, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Mayra is a sweet girl that tends to be a bit shy, but she loves to talk. She is very playful and gets along well with other cats given a chance to get to know them. She would really do best staying with her grandmother, Maya. Mayra had a rather rough start to life after being exposed to feline herpes while living in a feral cat colony in Detroit. We successfully treated her double eye infection and the scarring that was caused by the virus. Despite her healing, she does tend to be a bit shy after all she has been through. She will need an understanding and quiet home to really come out of her shell.

Lukas

Mayra

Carter

Male, DSH Brown & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/28/2023, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Lukas is a very sweet boy that loves to play. He is quite talkative and has no problem telling you what he thinks. He gets along well with other cats, and he would do well paired with his brother, Binx.  Binx and Lukas are from the same litter and get along great. Binx tends to be more laid back and cuddly while Lukas is a wild man that loves to zoom around the house and play. He does have a very playful side, yet Lukas enjoys love.

Carter

Charlotte

Carter

Male, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Carter is an incredibly sweet and playful boy that loves all cats he meets. He loves to snuggle, get pets, enjoys the occasional belly rub, and absolutely cannot live without his favorite spring toy. Carter would do amazingly well if adopted with Linus as they have become quite the bonded pair.

Charlotte

Charlotte

Charlotte

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Charlotte is a very playful and sweet girl. She can be quite talkative when she wants something, and she almost constantly has her soft tail curled up over her back. She loves to be pet, and occasionally she will allow belly rubs, too. Charlotte gets along very well with other cats, including Jasper and Lark.

Grayson

Charlotte

Charlotte

Male, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/22/2022, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Grayson is a super loving little babe! He loves to snuggle, be pet, get belly rubs, and play. He does well with other cats and warms up fairly quickly to new cats. If you're looking for a major love bug, Grayson is it!

Blake

Blake

Blake

Male, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Blake is a sweet yet shy boy. On his own terms, he loves to be pet, get ear scratches, and he absolutely loves to play. He gets along well with most cats, especially Carter and Charlotte. He tends to be quite talkative and will let you know when he wants something.

Reese

Blake

Blake

*Updated pic pending*

Female, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Reese is shy girl that is super sweet when she warms up to you. She loves to play and snuggle with her siblings, and she does well with other cats, too. She will need an understanding home that will allow her to settle in and warm up.

Axel

Blake

Wilder

Male, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Axel is a shy boy that loves pets on his own terms, but he warms up beautifully when given the time and understanding to do so. He is super playful and gets along well with other cats, including his brother's Blake and Wilder, and Jasper and Lark.

Wilder

Wilder

Wilder

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 5/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Charlotte is a very playful and sweet girl. She can be quite talkative when she wants something, and she almost constantly has her soft tail curled up over her back. She loves to be pet, and occasionally she will allow belly rubs, too. Charlotte gets along very well with other cats, including Jasper and Lark.

Lark

Wilder

Lark

Male, DSH Black & White (Moo Cow), Approx DOB 5/13/2021, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Lark is a very sweet boy once he warms up to you.  He loves to play, get belly rubs, and does super well with Jasper. He got his start outside as a kitten born to a feral mom cat, so he was spicy when we trapped him. It has taken time, but he has warmed up nicely. Lark unfortunately dealt with stomatitis, so he had to have all of his teeth removed, but he is doing wonderful and is ready for his new home! Toothless and perfect!

*Due to not having any teeth, Lark is on a wet food diet, but he will still eat hard kibble. He will require mainly a diet of wet food with the occasional offering of kibble. *

Riley

Willow

Willow

Female, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/22/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Riley is a very shy girl that will need a lot of time to warm up. She needs an understanding home that will allow her the time to settle in. She had a rough start to life, but we believe she deserves the chance to have a loving forever home. She would do best partnered with her brother, Grayson, or her sister, Willow.

Willow

Willow

Willow

Female, DSH Orange Tabby, Approx DOB 5/22/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Willow is a very sweet girl that tends to be a quite shy. She is the coveted and not so common orange tabby female, and she would make a great addition to a quiet home where she has time to settle in. She would do best partnered with one of her siblings, Grayson or Riley. Give this girl a big window with lots of bird watching activity and she'll be happy!

Bear

Willow

Bear

Male, DSH Black, Approx DOB 5/1/2021, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Bear is a very sweet boy that is a tad shy. Given time to warm up, he is amazingly sweet, loves pets, and is super playful. He gets along well with other cats, including his sister Remi and his buddies, Lark and Jasper.

Remi

Ellie

Bear

Female, DSH Black, Approx DOB 5/1/2021, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Remi is a very shy girl that warms up with time. She loves treats, toys, and pets on her own terms. She is very bonded with her brother, Bear. Her and her siblings had a rough start at a colony in Detroit and have taken time to warm up in their foster home. She would do best with her brother in a quiet home.

Emmy

Ellie

Ellie

Female, DSH Gray, Approx DOB 5/1/2021, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. (Gray girl in the front.)

Emmy is a very, very shy girl that will need a lot of time to warm up in a quiet and understanding home. She would do best kept with one of her siblings (Remi or Bear).

Ellie

Ellie

Ellie

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 5/7/2021, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Ellie is a quiet and shy girl that loves pets and lounging in a big window to do her favorite thing- bird watching! Ellie gets along well with other cats, but she hasn't become attached to any specific one, so we feel she would do well as a single cat or paired with an existing cat. She's a very sweet and gentle girl.

She came from a colony of ours out near Jackson, and she was born to a feral brown tabby that looks almost exactly like her. She dislikes being medicated and will take time to warm up to a new home.

Bingley

Bingley

Bingley

Male, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative!

Bingley is the brother to Lydia. He is an incredibly sweet boy that loves love.  He absolutely cannot give enough hugs and kisses. When we say sweet, we mean SWEET! This boy will make your teeth hurt he is so sweet. He loves to hug you around your neck and tends to climb up onto your shoulder as if he were a scarf. It's pretty comical. He will try to give you kisses on your face and meows with his sweet little voice. He is also very playful and gets some mad zoomies at any time of day of night. If you are looking for a love bug of a boy that loves to play and gets along well with other cats, Bingley is your boy! He would do best with his sister, Lydia, Fitz or Lukas. *Like his sister, Bingley had a mycoplasma felis infection, but he did not have any long-lasting neurological issues. *

Fitz

Bingley

Bingley

Male, DSH Brown & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Fitz is a very sweet and shy boy that just needs time to warm up to new people. Fitz came to us in a group of kittens from a colony in the country. Unfortunately, his mom was killed by a coyote, and he was found after the fact in a field near her body. He has taken longer to come around than the other kittens, but he has made great progress and loves love. He lives up to his namesake, Mr. Darcy. He has gorgeous eyes, soft fur, and he is a major flirt. He loves pets and kisses on his own terms, and we absolutely believe he will continue to warm up with time. He loves crunchy treats and toys.

Isla

Bingley

Isla

Female, DSH Tabico/Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 7/5/2018, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Isla is a very sweet yet shy girl that is believed to be related to/the sister of Nova. Isla has had a tough life and is beyond ready to live out her years in her forever home. Isla is believed to have been exposed to or had a previous calicivirus infection that ravaged her mouth and left all of her teeth to decay. She has had two dental surgeries to completely remove all of her teeth. She has completely healed from her surgeries and is doing wonderfully. She will need soft cat food for the rest of her life, despite eating hard kibble at times, but this does not change much about her being a normal cat. She loves to be held and snuggle on her own terms. She will take some time to warm up to new people, so an understanding, patient, and quiet home would be best. Best paired with her sister, Nova, or adopted as an only cat.

Nova

Nova

Isla

Female, DSH Tortie, Approx DOB 7/5/2018, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Nova is a sweet girl and sister to Isla. Both girls came from a rough situation where their previous owner was unable to take care of them. Several cats were breeding out of control. Nova came to us with a head tilt that was likely due to a previous infection. Despite her permanent head tilt, which we do think makes her quite unique and cute, it doesn't cause her any issues. She plays normally. She loves pets and to snuggle on her own terms. She is a tortie after all...  She doesn't seem to care much for kittens, so we believe she would do best on her own or paired with her sister, Isla.

Lydia

Lizzie

Lizzie

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.  Due to mycoplasma felis infection that caused neurological issues, Lydia does have a permanent head tilt. She is a little "off", per se, in her movements due to the permanent neurological deficits, but she is a very special girl that would make anyone happy. She is doing wonderfully now, but our vet cannot rule out issues in the future as she is believed to be a lifelong carrier. She gets along well with other cats, especially her brother.

Lizzie

Lizzie

Lizzie

Female, DSH Black, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Lizzie is a sweet and playful girl that wants love, but she is independent. She gets along wonderfully with other cats, especially Binx. She loves bird watching from a big window and chasing around face mice toys. She will let you know when her food bowl needs to be refilled and is an avid lover of crunchy treats. She loves to snuggle on her own terms, but she freely accepts lots of pets.

Jane

Lizzie

Morgan

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Jane is incredibly sweet and loves attention! She actually demands a lot of it. If you are looking for a very loving and playful kitten, Jane is your girl! She gets along well with most cats, although she does tend to hiss and growl at a few. She would do well paired with a kitten her age or with Lukas or Lizzie.

Morgan

Morgan

Morgan

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB TBD, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. (Tabby on the left.)

Morgan is a sweet but very timid girl. She will need an understanding home that will allow her the time to warm up fully and feel safe. Her and her brother, Casey, came from a country colony where cats were being abandoned along a rural road. She does well with other cats, and loves to play with Sienna, but we feel it would be best to keep her paired with her brother, Casey. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats. She does deal with some sneezing that we believe is due to being exposed to feline herpes virus in her colony. This just means that she may have future issues with recurrent URI's and will need daily supplementation with L-Lysine.

Casey

Morgan

Sienna

Female, DSH Brown Tabby, Approx DOB TBD, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Casey is a timid and sweet boy that will need time to warm up to new people. He does well with other cats, but we feel it would be best to keep him paired with his sister, Morgan. He loves to play, watch birds in the window, and snuggle up in a cozy cat tree. Like his sister, he was also exposed to the feline herpes virus and tends to sneeze. He is more prone to URI's, so we highly recommend daily supplementation of L-Lysine to lower his chances. Cats living with the virus, which is very common, can and do live a long and healthy life. (Despite our practice of and recommendation of yearly FVRCP vaccines for cats, cats can still be exposed to and contract feline herpes. It is unfortunate, but it is not something that should prevent a cat from being adopted and living a long and healthy life. We have a lot of experience with these cats and the virus and will gladly share our knowledge.)

Sienna

Morgan

Sienna

Female, DSH Gray Tabby, Approx DOB 8/6/2023, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Sienna is incredibly sweet with a side of sassy. She loves to play, but she also loves to snuggle. She is very small for her age, and we don't believe she will get much bigger. She's around the size of a 16-week-old kitten. She was the only survivor of her litter from a managed colony of ours. Sienna is high energy and loves to play with her two buddies from her colony, Morgan and Casey, but she gets along well with other cats.

*Sienna does have runny eyes occasionally and we believe it was due to exposure to the feline herpes virus at the clinic. It is well managed on a daily dose of L-Lysine mixed into her wet food. Feline Herpes virus is very prevalent in the feline population and very common. *

Pepper

Paisley

Pepper

Female, DSH Orange & Tabby, Approx DOB 8/13/2019, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. (Mom to Piper, Paisley, Pippa, Payton, and Paxton.)

Pepper was heavily pregnant when someone dumped her in one of our managed colonies in Detroit. She doesn't get along with other cats, except her own kittens. She would do well paired with Payton, Paxton, or her fluffy twin, Pippa. Pepper's size may be a little robust at the moment, but she is diligently working on her summer body and running on her cat wheel all day, every day! She is a sweet girl overall. She can be sassy, swats a bit when she's overstimulated, and prefers pets north of her tail-end. She would do best in a home with only her as a single cat or paired with one of her children. As far as human children, Pepper would do well with older kids that can respect her boundaries. We do suspect that she was likely abused previously, but she has come around to love her foster human mom and dad (especially her dad).

Piper

Paisley

Pepper

Female, DSH Orange & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Piper is quite the shy girl, but she is very sweet once she warms up. She would do well in a quiet home by herself or with one of the siblings, like Payton. Piper likes to be pet on her terms, she is okay with being held once she warms up, and she loves to play and watch birds through the window. (She cannot be paired with her sister, Paisley, as they do not get along most of the time, unfortunately.)

Paisley

Paisley

Paisley

Female, DSH Orange & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Paisley is a sweet girl that loves to play, be held, and snuggle. She can be quite the bully if paired with a shy cat, so it would be best to pair her with Payton, Paxton, or her mom, Pepper. Otherwise, Paisley would do well as a single cat. She loves running on her cat wheel! Any new home must have one, according to her. (Cannot be paired with her sister, Piper, as she picks on her.)

Pippa

Payton

Paisley

Female, DLH Orange & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Pippa is a sweet and sassy girl! She loves love, but she can be a little on the spicy side when overstimulated. She will playfully nibble and swat occasionally when playing, so we think any human kids should be older to understand her boundaries. Otherwise, Pippa is a pleasure! She is very sweet and cuddly, and she loves to be held. Her fur is long and fluffy, so that means lots of brushing is in order. She occasionally likes to run on her cat wheel, and she gets along great with other cats as long as they aren't super shy. She has been slow to come around to new cats, so we would recommend she live as the only cat in her new home or be paired with her mom, Pepper, or one of her siblings (Payton or Paxton).

Payton

Payton

Payton

Female, DLH Orange & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Payton is a very sweet and playful girl that gets along with everyone she has met. She loves catnip and catnip toys, balls with bells in them, and any toys that have a crunchy sound. She absolutely loves to watch birds outside and a chatty girl if given the chance. She loves to be held and given kisses, and pets are mandatory for this sweet girl. She would do best paired with Paxton, Pippa, Paisley, or her mom, Pepper.

Paxton

Payton

Payton

Male, DLH Orange & White Tabby, Approx DOB 6/11/2022, Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Paxton is incredibly sweet and a total love-bug! He loves to play, watch birds, and be held and given lots of kisses. He would love a home of his own where he can watch birds from the window, play freely with his toys and a sibling, and we think he would do well with kids. His long fur is not only soft and beautiful, but it will require daily upkeep like all long hair cats need. He would do well paired with any of his siblings, including Pippa, Payton, or Paisley, and even his mom, Pepper. Paxton is frequently seen snuggled up with his mom, so they would make an amazing pair.

Female, DSH Tabico, Approx DOB 4/19/2020, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative. (Mom to Lena and Elias.)

Margot is quite shy, but she is super sweet once she warms up! She does well with other cats when she has been properly introduced. She would thrive in a quiet home with one of her two kids, Lena or Elias. She would also do well paired with Daisy. If given time to warm up properly, she is incredibly sweet and playful. She loves soft cat food, watching birds from the window, and bunny kicking her catnip toys.

Lena

Coming Soon

Elias

Female, DSH Tabico, Approx DOB 7/5/2022, Spayed, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative.

Lena is a shy but friendly cat. She will take time to warm up, and it is well worth it! She is very sweet and playful, and she enjoys the company of her brother, mother, and friends from Daisy's litter. Her fur is so incredibly soft, too!
